![]() So it comes as a surprise to many that he is English and was born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. This legendary singer/songwriter found fame in the mid 80’s and achieved significant success over the pond in the USA. Opening act was John Parr playing a very brief solo acoustic set. Was it going to be a gig with an absent friend? We would all have to wait and see. So it was going to be interesting to see what tonight had in store at the sold out Symphony Hall. However in recent years his time on stage has sadly been restricted due to health issues and he has been happy to let the current members of the band keep the flame burning in his absence. ![]() Since those halcyon days they have dissolved and re-formed several times but always with founder member Mick Jones (guitar/keyboards) at the helm.
